This Privacy Policy explains how Hydro Shield ("we", "us", "our") handles personal information in connection with this website and the enquiries you send us through it. We are a Selangor-based automotive protection service (paint protection film, window tint, PPS, colour wrap and ceramic coating), operating at our two outlets listed at the bottom of this page.

This policy is written to be read by our visitors and customers, not lawyers — it describes what this website actually does, in plain terms.

2. Information We Collect

We only collect information you choose to give us. The main way that happens is our website's enquiry form, where you may enter:

  • Your name
  • Your phone number
  • Your email address
  • The service you're interested in, and any message or vehicle details you add

We do not use tracking cookies, analytics scripts, or advertising pixels anywhere on this website, so we do not collect browsing behaviour, device fingerprints, or ad-tracking identifiers.

3. How Your Enquiry Is Actually Sent

This is worth explaining clearly, because it's different from most websites: our enquiry form does not submit to a database on our server. When you fill it in and press "Send Enquiry", your own browser opens WhatsApp (either the app or web.whatsapp.com) with a message pre-filled from what you typed — the message is only actually sent once you press Send inside WhatsApp yourself.

That means we never receive or store your enquiry until you choose to send it via WhatsApp, and from that point on, your conversation with us is a normal WhatsApp chat, governed by WhatsApp/Meta's own privacy policy, not stored on any database of ours.

4. How We Use Your Information

Whatever you send us — by WhatsApp, phone call, or in person at one of our outlets — is used only to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and answer your questions
  • Provide quotes, appointment details, and service information
  • Follow up on a service you've booked with us

We do not use your information for automated marketing, and we do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.

5. Cookies

This website does not set any tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies. WordPress (the software this site runs on) may set a small number of strictly technical cookies where needed for the site to function correctly, but nothing that identifies you personally or follows you across other websites.

6. Third-Party Services We Use

These services may process standard technical data (such as your IP address) under their own privacy policies when their content loads — that happens independently of anything on our own servers.

We take reasonable steps to protect any information shared with us directly, but no method of transmission over the internet or WhatsApp is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

Our services are directed at vehicle owners, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

We may update this page from time to time as our website or services change. The "last updated" date below will always reflect the most recent version.
